UHOT REPORTING & NFA SUPPORT

The reporting matters, too.

Tank removal and cleanup records need to tell a complete story. We help assemble that story and support applicable NJ heating oil tank cases through agency review.

01 / UHOT REPORTING & NFA SUPPORT

Make the existing file understandable.

We review the tank history, case information, permit records, laboratory reports, and documentation of any cleanup already completed. Missing records or unresolved findings can affect what is needed next.

If multiple contractors have worked on a property, we help organize the available material and identify the questions that still need answers.

02 / UHOT REPORTING & NFA SUPPORT

Prepare the Remedial Action Report.

For an applicable UHOT case, reporting brings together the investigation, remedial activities, analytical findings, and supporting records. Site figures and photographs help explain where the work occurred.

The scope may include follow-up sampling or additional documentation where the existing record is incomplete. We discuss those needs before treating a report as ready for submission.

03 / UHOT REPORTING & NFA SUPPORT

Support NJDEP review.

Under the applicable UHOT process, NJDEP reviews the submitted documentation and determines whether an NFA letter can be issued. We help address technical questions and requests for additional information.

This is different from an LSRP-managed case in which a retained LSRP evaluates an RAO. We discuss the appropriate path for the specific project.

04 / UHOT REPORTING & NFA SUPPORT

Coordinate with your property timeline.

Tell us about an upcoming sale, construction schedule, or municipal request. We can explain the status of our work and identify outstanding documentation.

Agency review and issuance of a closure letter are outside a consultant’s direct control. A complete submission and clear communication help everyone understand what remains.

A FEW COMMON QUESTIONS

Before we
get started.

Is a township approval the same as an NFA letter?+

They address different matters. Municipal permit documentation relates to the permitted work, while an NJDEP NFA letter addresses an environmental case under the applicable review process.

Can you take over an existing report or case?+

We can review the file and discuss the work needed. Send the complete documents you have, including correspondence that identifies outstanding items.
